Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny Make New Appointments.

The principal officers of a polytechnic typically include the Rector, Registrar, Bursar, and Polytechnic Librarian. These individuals are responsible for the overall management and administration of the institution.

Rector:

The Rector is the chief executive and accounting officer of the polytechnic. They are responsible for the overall administration and management of the institution, including academic and administrative functions. The Rector also exercises general authority over staff and students, subject to the Governing Council.

Registrar:

The Registrar is the chief administrative officer. Their duties include maintaining student records, managing admissions, and coordinating academic activities.

Bursar:

The Bursar is the financial officer of the polytechnic. They manage the institution’s finances, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.

Polytechnic Librarian:

The Polytechnic Librarian is responsible for managing the library and its resources, providing access to information for students and staff.

The tenure of the Bursar, Registrar and Polytechnic Librarian of the institution would officially be over on the 4th of August, 2025. To that effect, advertisement was done, interview scheduled in accordance with extant laws, and the fourth Governing Council led by Senator George Thompson Sekibo has done the appointment.

PEPPLE ADONYE EMMANUEL (CIPAN) is appointed as the new Registrar and FADENIPO BLESSING CLEMENT (MBA, FCEN, FCIFC, CNA) is the new Bursar of the polytechnic and Mrs Hannatu Hosea BLis, MLIS, CLN is the Acting Polytechnic Librarian.The new officers are to assist and support the vision and mission of Dr Victor Okolobah led administration towards repositioning the polytechnic for world-class intellectual and professional outputs.
