FUADSI Declares Public Holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr

FUADSI Declares Thursday 19, Friday 20, as Public Holidays to commemorate Eid-ul-Fitr, in line with FG Directive.

As the holy month of Ramadan draws to an end, the management of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji has declared tomorrow, Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, as public holidays to commemorate this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebration, following the directive of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

According to the circular issued by the Registrar, Mr. Muritala Afolabi, as contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Office of the University, the declaration was in line with the order of the Federal Government and by the directive of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Mufutau Olaoye Atayese.

While extending warm greetings to staff and students, the release stated: “All staff of the University are to observe tomorrow, Thursday, and next, Friday, as work-free days in compliance with the Federal Government directive.”

“However, staff who are on essential services are excepted from the holidays and are expected to be on duty to ensure operational continuity and provision of obligatory and essential services, just as normal academic and administrative activities resume on Monday, March 23, 2026”.

The University Management wishes staff, their families, students and their parents and sponsors, a pleasant and joyful Eid-ul-Fitr celebration, urging Muslim faithful to sustain the virtues of tolerance, peace, generosity and devotion to the cause of Allah demonstrated during the holy month of Ramadan.
