FUD Convocation Date: Federal University Dutse (FUD) Convocation Ceremony Schedule of Events for 2024 has been Released. This is the University’s 6th – 7th Convocation Ceremony.
We are pleased to inform the public especially graduates of Federal University Dutse (FUD) that the management of the institution has released the schedule for the 6th – 7th Convocation Ceremony.
The Federal University Dutse, Jigawa state will hold its 6th and 7th combined convocation ceremonies and the investiture of the 2nd Chancellor of the University, His Majesty, King W.S. Joshua, Igbugburu the X, CON, (JP), the Ebenanawei of Bomo Kingdom and the Pioneer Chairman of the Bayelsa State Traditional Council on Saturday 24th February, 2024 by 9:00 am prompt.

The programs lined up for the convocation include the Pre- Convocation Press briefing to Journalists in Jigawa state by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed on Wednesday, 21st of February, 2024 by 1:30p.m.
This will be followed by the commissioning of projects at the Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, CON, on Friday, 23rd of February, 2024 by 10 am prompt.
The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare will also deliver the Pre-Convocation Lecture titled: Human Capital in the Era of Polycrisis on Friday, 23rd February. 2024 by 4:00p.m.
The former Minister of Education, Professor Ruqayyatu Ahmad Rufai, OON will chair the Pre-Convocation Lecture.

INVESTITURE OF THE NEW CHANCELLOR / CONVOCATION CEREMONY
Investiture of the University’s New Chancellor. Award of Postgraduate Diplomas, First Degrees, Higher Degrees and Presentation of Prizes.
Venue: Convocation Arena, Federal University Dutse
Time: 9:00am Prompt
INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS
All graduands are expected to sign for and collect their academic gowns from the Acacemic Division.
Graduands are expected to pay the sum of N2000.00 at the Bursary for Academic gowns. Postgraduate Graduands are mxpected to Pay N10, 000 (N5,000 for gown, and N5,000 for order of proceedings) Postgraduate graduands who wish to purchase the academic gowns are required to pay N30,000.
Note that the purchase of the Academic gown is optional. All verified paymen, receipts should be presented at the Academic Division
Please note that academic gowns must be returned not later than Monday 26th February, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. Failure toreturn the gowns and hoods by the prescribed cate shall attract a fine of N2000.00 per day.
B) Graduands are requested to assemble at the Convocation square on Saturday the 24th of February, 2024 between 7:00a.m. and 7:30a.m. They must be fully robed and on a queue according to their faculties.
NOTE:
NO ONE, INCLUDING GRADUANDS AND THEIR PARENTS/GUARDIANS WILL BE ADMITTED INTO THE VENUE AFTER 9:30 A.M.
C) Commercial Photographers/Video Operators are requested to register and obtain clearance for operation at the Security Division.
All Graduating Students must weer the prescribed academic gowns. The Securily Offices will strictly enforce the “No gown, No entry policy.
No form of luggage or handbags will be allowed at the convocation square. Graduands are advised, without exception to comply with this information
All guests of the university (properly identified with their Invitation cards) are to be seated notiater than 9:30a.m.
Parking lots have been designated for use at the Convocation venue, Gueds are to park their vehicles in areas designated by the university.
GRADUANDS ARE TO REMAIN AT THE CONVOCATION VENUE TILL THE END OF THE CEREMONY.
GRADUANDS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO COMPLY WITH THESE ARRANGEMENTS, PLEASE.
