FUOYE Gets NUC Approval For 14 New Programmes

Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to launch a series of new undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

This development marks a pivotal moment in the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and academic excellence.

The newly approved programs include:

  • B.Eng. Information and Communication Engineering
  • B.Sc. Software Engineering
  • B.Sc. Cyber Security
  • PGDE. Postgraduate Diploma in Education
  • B.Ed. Primary Education
  • PGD, M.Ed., Ph.D. in Science Education (Mathematics Option)
  • PGD, M.Sc., Ph.D. in Criminology and Security Studies
  • PGD, M.Sc. Ed., Ph.D. in Business Education
  • PGD, M.Sc. Ed., Ph.D. in Educational Management
  • Professional Masters in Forensic Accounting
  • Professional Masters in Financial Fraud Investigation and Intelligence
  • Professional Masters in Public Finance Management
  • Professional Masters in Crime Investigation Management
  • Professional Masters in Criminology and Security Studies

This expansion of programs is set to commence in the full-time mode, offering students a broad spectrum of specialized education that aligns with both national development needs and global academic standards.

The Vice-Chancellor of FUOYE, Professor Abayomi Fasina, expressed his enthusiasm about the NUC’s approval. “This is a testament to our dedication to academic innovation and providing our students with cutting-edge education in fields that are pivotal to Nigeria’s growth and security,” he stated.
