FUPRE Matriculation Date: The Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) Matriculation Ceremony Schedule for the 2025/2026 Academic Session has been announced.
This is to inform all fresh undergraduate students admitted to the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, as well as members of the University community and the general public, that the Matriculation Ceremony marking the formal admission of students into the University has been scheduled as follows:
- Date: Wednesday 21 January, 2026
- Time: 10:00 a.m. (Prompt)
- Venue: 500-Capacity Auditorium, Behind the New Administrative Building
Attendance at the ceremony is mandatory for all matriculating students, who are expected to be properly robed in academic gowns and to participate fully, including the administration of the Matriculation Oath.
All matriculating students and invited guests are expected to be seated by 9:30 a.m. to ensure the smooth and timely commencement of the programme.
Members of staff, parents, guardians, alumni, and the general public are cordially invited to witness this important academic exercise, which formally inducts new students into the University.

NOTE: all freshers are expected to pay for their Matriculation gown at their respective colleges or at the SUG buildings.
The matriculation ceremony is compulsory for all duly registered fresh students of the University.
By way of reminder, fresh students who have not registered with the Health Centre are advised to proceed immediately to the center for their Medical Screening Exercise. Please note that Medical Screening is an integral part of the Registration exercise, as only students who have gone through the medical screening exercise will be allowed to participate in the Matriculation Ceremony.
