African Rapper Donates Tables and Chairs to School Where Pupils Study on Stones
Ghanian Rapper, Medical donates Tables, chairs, and other educational items to a primary school in Accra.
Ghanaian rapper Medikal has donated tables, chairs, and other educational items to a primary school in Accra where pupils were previously sitting on stones during lessons.
This generous act followed after blogger Kobby Kyei shared images highlighting the poor condition of the school’s facilities.

Medikal’s donation to the Oduman Asuaba M/A Basic School in the GA South District included not only furniture but also educational materials, dispensary, and sanitary items.
The rapper, along with his manager Kofi Jam, also helped paint the classroom walls.
The motivation for this act came after Medikal saw the viral photos online on May 16, 2024. Touched by the plight of the students, he decided to take action.
“Seeing the future leaders of our country sitting on stones and bare floors to study, I felt the need to pick up a call and show love in the little way I could. So, as I stand here, I brought 40 chairs and tables so the kids can sit down and learn and be great leaders in the future. We all know how hardship is in this country, but then again, we find ways and means to still strive and survive,” Medikal stated.
Medikal also pledged to ensure the school’s facilities ran smoothly and committed to fixing the school’s toilets, which was met with enthusiastic cheers from the students and staff.
Many praised Medikal for his generosity and thanked Kobby Kyei for bringing attention to the school’s condition. Here are some of the reactions from Ghanaians:
_mr.elroyy: “The school is in Accra yet lacks chairs. Our leaders need to do better.”
