Gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram members, attacked Faudiya School in Yobe State, killing at least three students and injuring one, with police investigating the incident.


On Friday, gunmen attacked Faudiya School in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State, resulting in the deaths of at least three students.
According to Dungus Abdulkarim, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, one injured student was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The assailants, suspected to be Boko Haram members, arrived on motorbikes armed with AK-47 rifles and launched the attack at around 3:44 am, firing indiscriminately.
Police investigations have begun, and Abdulkarim mentioned that a teacher who escaped the attack reported that it was unexpected, as there had been no prior confrontation with any armed group.
The Islamic school is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood Movement, a Shiite sect.
