UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR CROP PRODUCTION
Below is the UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION for Crop Production in faculty of Agriculture/Vet. medicine;
- English Language(*), Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and Mathematics or Physics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)
- (i) FUTA requires Mathematics/Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science.
- (ii) SALEM – Same as in Soil Science.
- (iii) LAUTECH requires English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science, and Physics/Mathematics
- (iv) OOU requires Chemistry and any two (2) of Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Agricultural Science and Geography.
- (v) MAUTY requires Biology/Agric. Sc. and any other two of Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Economics and Mathematics.
O’LEVEL REQUIREMENT FOR CROP PRODUCTION
Below is the UTME Requirement for Crop Production in the faculty of Agriculture/Vet. medicine;
- Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science Mathematics and one Science/Social Science subject and at least ‘O’ level pass in Physics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)
- (i) DELSU, MAKURDI, UMUDIKE, UNN – Same as in Agricultural Economics.
- (ii) (iii) OOU requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Physics.
- (iv) NDU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Agricultural Science.
- (v) DELSU accepts D7 in English Language.
- (vi) NAUB- as in Animal Production
- (vii) MINNA and FUTO require ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and Mathematics
- (viii) BAUCHI requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in English Language but accept ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.
- (ix) PHC – Same as in Fisheries.
- (x) COOU and ABSU require five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science.
- (xi) MAUTY requires Five (5) O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, and any one from Physics/Geography/Economics/Horticulture.
- (xii) FUNAAB as in Agriculture Extension and Rural Development.
- (xiii) FUTA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credits at SSC, or equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Economics or Geography. At least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics is required.
- (xiv) MAKURDI requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language, Physics or any other Science subjects. Accepts ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.
- (xv) LAUTECH requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in Biology or Agriculture Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language and Physics.
- (xix) RSU- Same as in Animal Science.
- (xx) EBSU accepts five (5) SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and one Science/Social Science subject and at least a pass in Physics.
DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR CROP PRODUCTION
Below is the DIRECT ENTRY (DE) Requirement for Crop Production in faculty of Agricultural/Vet. Medicine;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Botany/Zoology or Physics/Mathematics/Economics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)
- (i) MINNA does not accept Social Science subjects. Other requirements are as in Agriculture.
- (ii) NDU – No direct entry admission.
- (iii) OOU requires ‘A’ Level passes in both Chemistry and Biology. It accepts ND distinction/credit, HND credit, and NCE Double Major at credit level in Agriculture to 100/200 level programme.
- (iv) RSU – Same as in Animal Science.
- (v) MINNA accepts NCE/ND/HND with a minimum of lower credit level in addition to the UTME requirements.
- (vi) ADSU – as in Animal Production & Fisheries
- (vii) EKSU and FUTA – as in Agricultural Economics and Extension.
- (viii) BAUCHI accepts NCE, ND program in addition to the UTME requirements.
- (ix) IMSU accepts ND or NCE Double Major and HND in Agriculture with at least a credit pass.
- (x) FUTO – Same as in Agricultural Economics.
- (xi) UNN same as in Agricultural Economics and Extension
- (xiii) MAUTY accepts; OND/HND in Agric or any other relevant field, with a minimum of Lower Credit. IJMB with at least 7 cumulative points in Chemistry, Biology/Agric. & Physics/ Mathematics. NCE with a minimum of merit grade in agriculture. GCE ‘A’ credit passes in Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science.
- (xiv) FUNAAB as in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development.
- (xv) FUTA requires: (a) ND with a minimum of upper credit from recognized Polytechnics or Colleges of Technology in relevant Agriculture based disciplines. (b) University Diploma with at least lower credit, JUPEB, IJMB and Cambridge A level. (c) at least two (2) General Certificate in Education (GCE) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology and any of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics and Biology or Agricultural Science with a minimum of C.
- (xvi) OAU does not accept Economics but accepts HND/ND in Agriculture obtained at upper credit level from a recognized Institution.
- (xvii) (xviii) KWASU accepts ND/HND, NCE in relevant subjects in addition to the UTME requirements.
- (xix) MAKURDI accepts; (a) Two (2) `A’ Level passes in any of Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Botany/Zoology or Mathematics (Pure & Applied), Physics, Geology and Economics. (b) NCE/ND/HND credit/merit in Agriculture
- (xx) LAUTECH accepts; (a) Two (2) `A’ Level passes in any of Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science or Physics (b) NCE/ND/HND credit/merit in Agriculture
- (xxi) EBSU accepts a) two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Zoology or Physics/Mathematics/Economics. b) NCE with minimum merit passes in relevant subjects c) HND and ND with minimum of upper credit in relevant programs.
