According to the Governor, the sixty students were drawn from the 27 local government areas of the state, adding that their choice was based on merit as all the students had to pass a test organized by the state ministry of health.
The Governor also said his administration would continue to accord more priority to Education and healthcare in the state through various initiatives that would provide a long-term solution to the challenges bedeviling the two sectors.
He said “we have already reached our target of one primary health center in every ward in the state. So far, in all the 287 wards in the state each have gotten its primary health centre. We also want to ensure that each local government gets at least a general hospital before the end of this tenure.”
