The Governor of Plateau State, Governor Caleb Mutfwang has ordered the immediate closure of Saint Academy, Busa Buji, in Jos North LGA, following the collapse of a two-storey building that claimed the lives of over 22 people, including students and teachers.

In addition, the governor directed security agencies to arrest artisanal miners operating in residential areas of the state. This directive comes after the tragic incident on Friday, which resulted in 22 confirmed deaths and left 132 individuals injured, many of whom are receiving treatment in local health facilities.
Governor Mutfwang issued these orders during his visit to the site of the collapse. He also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and assured that the government would cover the medical expenses of the injured.
