The Lady who already has two Masters Degree from the University of Guelph and University of Ghana, said she was been broken at some point but chose to get herself together and move on.

I am happy to announce that I have finally been conferred with a #PhD in #DevelopmentStudies with research focus on the economics of innovation and development from the University of Ghana on Friday, July 29, 2022.

📌Begun in 2016
📌Submitted Thesis in 2020
📌Defended in 2021
📌Degree conferred in 2022

The journey has been long, longer than I envisaged but super great with all the experiences, knowledge gained, and all the little and big wins in between 🤗☺️. It wasn’t at all rosy, but I like to focus on the victories. We’ve been broken at some point but we picked the pieces back together and moved on☺️ because we had a crown to chase.

Listing her wins during her PHD, she said among all achievements, becoming a mother of 3, was the greatest of all.

Within the period, I achieved the following:
📌Selected as the Next Einstein Forum (NEF) Ambassador for Ghana
📌Earned a 6-month PhD Visiting Scholar Fellowship at the Aalborg University
📌Received the Best PhD Student paper prize at the Globelics Conference in Costa Rica
📌 Attended several international conferences and PhD Academies
📌Became a Fellow of the Mandela Washington Fellowship
📌Became a proud mother of 3 (Had 2 before beginning the program)-my greatest achievement 🤗🤩🤗
📌 #Mentored 100s of young girls in #STEM and non-STEM- great joy and fulfilment this has been.

Appreciating God and her husband she said “God has been faithful and my husband Dr Edward E. Onumah has been EXTREMELY SUPPORTIVE!

She also appreciated her supervisors, siblings, family, and friends.

Over 3,000 LinkedIn users who resonated with her story, have reacted positively, with many congratulating and wishing her well.

From all of us at ALLSCHOOL, congratulations to you Onumah.
