This notice informs proprietors and parents of candidates in Private Schools, as well as the general public, about the registration period for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and Basic Arabic & Islamic Certificate Examination (BAICE).

LATEST UPDATE: FINAL WINDOW FOR 2026 BECE/BAICE REGISTRATION


The Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority (KSSQAA) hereby announces a final extension for the 2026 examination registration. This is the last opportunity for schools to conclude all processes.

1. FINAL TIMELINES
The portal is open with the following strict deadlines:

  • Purchase of Registration PINs (Private Schools Only): 15th-25th April 2026
  • Request for PINs (Public Schools Only): 15th-22nd April 2026
  • Completion of Candidate Registration (Public & Private Schools): 15th-28th April 2026

Note: No further extensions will be granted. Candidates not registered by 28th April will not be eligible for the examinations.

2. STUDENT BIODATA UPDATES
All schools must ensure that student biodata is correctly uploaded and updated on the portal. The biodata update window will close on Thursday, 30th April 2026.

To edit student information:
Visit https://kssqaa.org → Examination → School Representative Portal → Students Management → Students → Select student → View → Edit Info.

Please Note: Candidates not duly registered within the stipulated period will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

To Edit Student Information:

  • Visit https://kssqaa.org
  • Select Examination
  • Log in to the school representative portal
  • Navigate to Students Management > Students
  • Choose the year and exam
  • Find the student, click View, then Edit Info

Follow these steps to register candidates:

1) Online Registration:

  1. Visit https://kssqaa.org.
  2. Navigate to the “Examinations” section, select BECE, and then choose Private from the dropdown menu.
  3. Log in using your USERNAME (Login ID) and PASSWORD from the previous year.
  4. Pay N5,000 per private candidate, for both the CERTIFICATE and PINs to register student for the examination.
  5. Go to the Continuous Assessment Section (C.A.S), select the exam type, and enter or view students’ C.A. scores.
  6. Manage student details, review subject analyses, and make edits before the registration deadline.

2) Offline Registration:

  1. You can use the offline version to register students.
  2. Click on the Guidelines menu option on the menu bar to learn how to install the offline version.

NOTE:

  • The offline version is located at the sidebar menu.
  • Ensure that the number of PINs requested online matches the number of Candidates registered offline. If additional candidates are registered offline,
  • Purchase extra PINs before synchronizing the data online.

3) Post-Registration Tasks:

  • After registration closes, download student photo albums and examination cards. The download date will be announced on the platform under “Calendar.”
  • Refer to the Guidelines menu for step-by-step instructions on all registration processes.
  • Use the Gazette Request option to request a gazette after the examination results are released.

Closing Date: Completion of Candidate Registration (Public and Private Schools) closes on 25th April 2026
