The management of Kano State Polytechnic has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil to commence Postgraduate Diploma Programmes in Science, Engineering, and Technology on Part-time basis.


Speaking during the signing of the documents, the Vice Chancellor, ADUSTECH, Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai expressed his delight over the commitments and enthusiasm displayed by the KSP management toward the realization of its long-awaited dream.
He emphasized that the development would establish academic linkage and collaboration that would be of mutual benefit to the two Institutions, thereby promoting their scientific and technological advancement.
“After studying the documents submitted to us, based on the academic standard of our university, we find out that this is a golden opportunity for our teaming youth from the Polytechnic to ultimately reach the level of not only the Postgraduate Diploma but to have a window for absorption into MSc., and PhD programs. This is a very important milestone we witnessed under the leadership of Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk’s administration.” The VC added.
Prof. Yakasai maintained that the collaboration between the Institutions will go in tandem with the state government’s aspiration to improve technical and vocational education in the state and beyond.
He further revealed that apart from the proposed postgraduate diplomas, other programs like Metalwork Technology, Woodwork Technology, Agriculture Technology, Carpentry Technology, and many other programs would be added in the near future.
Responding, the Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA lauded the management of ADUSTECH for its prompt acceptance of the offer to collaborate, noting that both KSP and ADUSTECH have the same purpose of augmenting the commitment of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf in providing more educational opportunities to the good people of Kano State.
He emphasized that the collaboration will afford students and those who wish to enhance their credentials the opportunity to do so in their respective disciplines.
He thanked the VC and his management team for their laudable efforts, emphasizing that KSP will maintain standards in running the program.
