The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted license and approval to the first private university in Kebbi State, Rayhaan, to offer 15 courses at take-off in January next year.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Mohammed Lawal Ahmadu, disclosed this to journalists during the NUC resource verification visit to the university’s site at Gesse, Birnin Kebbi.
He said the university was among the few private universities in the North West geo-political zone that will commence academic activities after the NUC resource verification visit.
“Rayhaan is an ICT-driven academic learning institution. Its teaching and research environment is positioned to nurture the youth into personalities possessing sound academic, practical and upright moral qualities,” he said.
