Emmanuel Aanu Ajayi has emerged as a winner of the Federal Ministry of Education Student Venture Capital Grant initiative, which comes with a N50,000,000 grant.

Emmanuel, a 500 level Electrical and Computer Engineering student at Kwara State University, Malete, won the N50,000,000 grant at an event held at the UNDP Innovation Hub in Lagos State on March 29, during the official unveiling of the Student Venture Capital Grant initiative by the Federal Ministry of Education.
Emmanuel, who is also a research assistant at KWASU’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Systems won the grant for his solar power station, which he built using upcycled electronic waste to provide affordable and reliable electricity to homes and businesses.
In his reaction, the Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh expressed excitement at Emmanuel’s success.
Professor Jimoh noted that Emmanuel had previously brought laurels to the institution, and it was not surprising that he would go on to higher exploits.
He congratulated Emmanuel, charging other KWASU students to aim high, excell, and being glory to themselves and their University.
