An intelligent Nigerian man, Anthony Kabiru Abubakar has graduated from Ambrose Alli University with a First Class LL.B, earning the second-highest CGPA in the law faculty’s 40-year history, while excelling in leadership, advocacy, and moot court competitions.

Anthony Kabiru Abubakar, a recent graduate of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, has completed his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree with remarkable distinction. Abubakar graduated with a First Class and was named the Best Graduating Male Student, as well as the Overall Second Best Graduating Student, earning an impressive 4.74 CGPA. This achievement marks the second-highest CGPA ever recorded in the 40-year history of the university’s Faculty of Law.
Abubakar’s academic journey at AAU is particularly notable, as he maintained a perfect 5.0 GPA in four out of ten semesters, with near-perfect 4.9 GPAs in two additional semesters. Over the course of five years, during which he completed 59 courses, he earned 47 A’s, 9 B’s, and just 3 C’s.

In addition to his academic success, Abubakar made history by becoming the first person to serve as Class Governor for four consecutive years and Faculty President in his final year, all while maintaining a First Class standing. His leadership roles within the faculty spanned over 15 different positions, further showcasing his commitment to both academics and service.
Abubakar also excelled in advocacy and moot court competitions, participating in over 20 events at the faculty, national, and international levels. His excellence in these competitions earned him numerous awards, including the prestigious Advocate of the Faculty title and the revered rank of Senior Advocate of Ambrose Alli University in his third year. His consistent leadership earned him multiple accolades, including the Most Active Class Governor in 2021 and 2022, as well as the Executive Personality and Leadership Icon of the Year award in 2024.
Beyond academics and leadership, Abubakar gained practical experience through internships at tier-one law firms in Nigeria, further solidifying his legal foundation by applying theoretical knowledge to real-world practice.
