Miva Open University Secures NUC Approval to Commence MPH And MIT Programmes

Miva Open University has Secured the National Universities Commission NUC Approval to Commence MPH And MIT Programmes.

We are excited to announce that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved Miva Open University to offer two new postgraduate programmes—Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Information Technology (MIT)—starting from the 2024/2025 academic session.

This approval follows a successful resource verification exercise held on Friday, 21st February 2025 and was confirmed in a letter dated 26th February 2025, with reference number NUC/AP/P124/VOL.I/10.

A Readiness for Growth

The NUC commended the university’s management for the exceptional quality and quantity of resources—both human and physical—that have been put in place to support these new programmes.

The approval of the MPH and MIT programmes brings the total number of professional postgraduate programmes offered by Miva Open University’s School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) to four.

Previously, the university received approval for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Public Administration (MPA) programmes, reinforcing its commitment to providing a wide range of advanced degrees.
