The management of Newgate University, Minna (NUM) is pleased to announce that ten of its undergraduate programmes have achieved full accreditation from the National Universities’ Commission (NUC).

This milestone follows the university’s initial 2022 approval to run these programmes and the NUC’s comprehensive evaluation visit in October/November 2024, culminating in accreditation in early 2025. The exercise yielded an overall average score of 86.9% for the ten programmes.
During the evaluation, the NUC accreditation team conducted an in-depth resource verification and quality assessment to thoroughly review Newgate University Minna’s academic facilities, teaching staff qualifications, curriculum standards, and infrastructure. These results reflect the NUC’s mandate to lay down Minimum Academic Standards and to accredit the University degrees, ensuring that NUM’s programmes meet national benchmarks.
