Cursory: Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has awarded a scholarship to Nkechinyere Umeh, the top performer in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations. The scholarship allows Umeh to pursue any course of her choice at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra State. Governor Soludo congratulated Umeh for her outstanding achievement and encouraged other students to be inspired by her success and strive for excellence.


Nkechinyere Umeh, the highest-scoring candidate in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has been offered a scholarship by Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State. This information was communicated in a statement released on Tuesday by Mr. Christian Aburime, Soludo’s Press Secretary.
Governor Soludo awarded the scholarship to Umeh in recognition of her remarkable achievement, following JAMB’s recent announcement of her cumulative mark of 360 in the examination.
The Governor expressed his congratulations to Umeh for bringing pride to the state through her exceptional performance.
The statement reads: “Following the recent JAMB declaration of Miss Nkechinyere Umeh from Anambra State as the highest scorer with a cumulative mark of 360 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has congratulated the remarkable student on doing the state proud with her exceptional performance.
“In further celebration of Umeh’s feat, Soludo announced a well-deserved scholarship for her to study any course of her choice at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra state.
“The scholarship will not only serve as a token of the state government’s appreciation for her hard work but also provide her with the opportunity to pursue her dreams and contribute to the development of the state in the future.”
While wishing Umeh continued success in her future academic pursuits, Soludo also encouraged other young ndi Anambra students within the state and across the country, to take inspiration from Umeh’s outstanding performance and take advantage of the improved conducive learning environment in the State to strive for excellence.
