Cursory: A graduate from Nigeria’s northwest geopolitical zone went popular after posting something on Facebook. Many people were dissatisfied by the young man’s usage of English in his brief write-up to mark the completion of his NCE program. On social media, some users mockingly praised him as the next education minister, while others voiced worry for the pupils he would soon instruct.

Umar Bala Safana, a Nigerian, received trolling on Facebook for using English in a happy post. The graduate, who states that he lives in Katsina state, posted a moving message on Facebook along with pictures of himself with his Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) diploma.
Many others believed that the post should not have come from someone who, by virtue of his degree, may soon become a teacher because it was full of grammatical faults and flaws that were too serious to be excused as typographical errors.
His post reads:
“Every thing have a beginning it most have an end like yes today we start the N.C.E program but to day we are finish thanks all mighty god to show me this day.
“And also thanks my Seniors brothers and juniors brother that guid me apart of this studies.
“And also thanks my friend and sisters that are partsped at this level. “At the end praise be to Allah protect me and this people that are part sped apart my life.”
