Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic notice on academic amnesty programme


The Students’ Union Body of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria wishes to inform the general public and students on the commencement of the Academic Amnesty Programme. The Academic Amnesty Program for 2023 is designed to help the students who faced some academic challenges during their time at the Polytechnic that left them unable to graduate due to the expiry of the residency of their program of study anytime between the 2013/2014 and 2019/2020 academic sessions.

ELIGIBILITY
- That only students that have registered and failed course(s) which prevented them from graduating between the 2013/2014 and 2019/2020 academic session
- The prospective students for the program shall register for the 2021/2022 Summer Program 2023
- Students must have obtained a CGPA of 2.00 or above to qualify for the Amnesty Programme, 2023
PROCEDURES
- The maximum number of courses allowed for Summer Program is equivalent to 18 credit hours (about six courses of 3 credit hours each)
- The prospective students for the Amnesty Program shall register all their outstanding carryover course(s) irrespective of the semester (provided the 18 credit units are NOT exceeded)
- Students should confirm eligibility from their Departments. Students who failed to register at the appropriate academic session cannot register for the Amnesty Program 2023 taking place in the 2023 Summer Program but can register for 2023/2024 academic session to remedy his/her outstanding courses
- The affected students are to pay a non-refundable fee of;
- N18,750 for ND & Part-Time Programmes
- N25,000 for HND Programme, and
- N2,000 per course for All Programmes
Registration period for the Amnesty Program to commence from Monday, 4th December – Friday, 30th December, 2023.
The affected students are to visit the Directorate of Part-Time & Evening Programs and their respective Departments for registration guidelines and more information.
