An NYSC corps member has proudly showcased his first meal after receiving the newly increased N77,000 monthly allowance.
Previously, corps members earned N33,000, but the federal government recently implemented the raise, which took effect less than 24 hours ago.
Amid the excitement, a corps member identified as @bj_black19 took to TikTok to share a video of his “first quality meal” after the increment. He humorously captioned it, “Thank you NYSC. Last last men don taste 77K 😂.”
The video quickly went viral, sparking reactions from netizens. While many celebrated the allowance increase, others joked about how long the money would last.
