The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued an important reminder to all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) regarding the selection of correct personal details during online registration.

In an official notice released today, the NYSC emphasized the importance of accuracy in selecting the appropriate title and gender. “Select correct Title and Gender during Online Registration,” the notice stated, specifying the options available: “Title: (Miss, Mrs, Mr) Gender: (Male or Female).”
The advisory aims to prevent discrepancies that can lead to administrative issues during the service year. Incorrect details can affect everything from room assignments in orientation camps to official documents and recognition upon completion of the service.
According to the NYSC, selecting the right title and gender is fundamental to the integrity of the registration process. “This step is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of our records and for the smooth operation of all subsequent NYSC activities,” said an NYSC official who preferred anonymity.
The notice has been disseminated across various platforms to ensure that all PCMs, particularly those new to the system, are aware of the importance of this selection. The NYSC encourages PCMs to take this step seriously, as amendments post-registration can be complex and time-consuming.
As the orientation camps are scheduled to open in the coming weeks, PCMs are advised to double-check their entries before final submission. The NYSC also reminds all registrants that support is available through their official channels for any clarification or technical assistance needed.
