OAU Notice on the Delay in Student Smart ID Card Production.

The Division of Student Affairs, in a meeting with the Great Ife Students’ Union leadership on Thursday, May 22, 2025, addressed concerns about the significant delay in producing and delivering the promised customized smart ID cards for Obafemi Awolowo University students.
The delay, caused by logistical challenges in incorporating the smart features into the ID cards, has been resolved by the company responsible for production. The University administration is prioritizing this issue to ensure the first batch of ID cards is delivered no later than Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
We recognize the critical importance of providing students with proper identification and are committed to ensuring that students’ rights are upheld. The University administration remains dedicated to creating a conducive environment for every student to realize their God-given potential.
Thank you.
