Justice Mahmood Abdulgafar of the Kwara State High Court has sentenced a 23-year-old student of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, to nine months imprisonment for his involvement in an internet scam.
Oladipo Opeyemi Juwon, an HND student at the Federal Polytechnic was sentenced on Thursday, December 10, after pleading guilty on a three-count charge bordering on cheating and attempted to cheat and punishable under Section 324 of Penal Code Law of Kwara State.
According to the judge, the sentence would commence on the 23rd of December, 2020 in view of the ongoing examinations at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, involving the convict. The judge also ordered the convict to forfeit his mobile phones and restitute his victims.
