- (xvi) KSUSTA requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and any one of Physics, Mathematics or Economics.
- (xvii) KASU requires Biology, Chemistry and one other Science subject that may include Agric. Science.
- (xviii) FED-KASHERE requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any one of Physics, Mathematics, Geography or Economics.
- (xix) LANDMARK requires Chemistry, and any two of Biology, Agricultural science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics.
- (xx) ABUJA requires Biology/Agriculture plus any other two Science subjects.
O’LEVEL REQUIREMENT FOR AGRICULTURE
Below is the UTME Requirement for Agriculture in the faculty of Agriculture/Vet. medicine;
- Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Biology/Agric Science, Chemistry and any one of Mathematics, Physics, Geography and Economics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)
- (i) IBADAN requires five (5) credit passes including English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and any one of Geography, Physics or Economics
- (ii) UMUDIKE accepts Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings to include: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, or Agricultural Science and any other science subjects; requires at least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics. ‘O’ Level credit in Agricultural Science must be backed up with at least ‘O’ Level pass in Biology
- (iii) OOU, EKSU and ILORIN accept ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.
- (iv) IMSU accepts ‘O’ Level pass in Mathematics, along with ‘O’ Level credit pass in Physics and vice versa.
- (vi) ABU requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Agricultural Science.
- (vii) IBADAN, EKSU, ILORIN and TASUED require ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agricultural Science and a pass in Biology.
- (viii) UDU and AAU accept ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.
- (ix) BIU requires at least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.
- (x) BAYERO requires five (5) ‘O’ Level passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry any two (2) of Biology/Agric Science
- , Physics, Geography and Economics.
- (xi) FED-WUKARI requires Five Credits at not more than two sittings including English Language and Mathematics from the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science, Physics/Geography/, Animal Husbandry/Fisheries/Economics or Forestry and obtained at SSCE, GCE O’ Level, NECO, NABTEB, or its equivalent.
- (xii) PAAU requires five (5) credit passes at SSC in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Economics or any other Science/Social science subject and a pass in Physics. A credit pass in Agricultural Science must be backed up with at least ‘O’ Level pass in Biology.
- (xiii) FED-OYE EKITI five (5) SSC credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics/Geography/Economics. For Soil Science FED-OYE EKITI requires; Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language, Biology/Agric Science, Chemistry, Physics. In addition to the above, candidate must at least have a pass in Physics. For Crop Science and Horticulture FED-OYE EKITI requires; Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language, Biology/Agric Science, Chemistry, Physics. For Animal Production and Health FED-OYE EKITI requires; Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language, Biology/Agric Science, Chemistry, Physics. Consideration can be given to candidates with pass in Physics.
- (xv) BABCOCK requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science, Physics/Geography, Home Economics/Food &Nutrition.
- (xiv) ABUAD requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
- (xv) LANDMARK requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any one of Mathematics, Physics, Geography and Economics.
- (xvi) FED-DUTSINMA requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and Physics/Geography/Economics.
- (xvii) DELSU requires Credit passes in five (5) WAEC/GCE/NECO subject including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, at least a pass in Physics obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
- (xviii) FED-GASHUA requires five (5) SSC Credit passes or its equivalent to include: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science & any one of Geography, Physics and Economics.
- (xix) PHC requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any one of Physics, Geography and Economics.
- (xx) FED-DUTSE requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, and any one of Physics, Geography and Economics.
- (xxi) RSU requires five ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science.
- (xxii) FUTO requires at least five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other subject, at not more than two (2) sittings. At least a Pass is required in Physics
- (xxiii) KSUSTA accepts Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any one of Mathematics, Physics, Geography and Economics.
- (xxiv) KASU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and one other Science subject.
- (xxv) FED-KASHERE requires Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and one of Physics, Geography and Economics.
DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR AGRICULTURE
Below is the DIRECT ENTRY (DE) Requirement for Agriculture in faculty of Agriculture/Vet. medicine;
- Two A level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science, Economics, Physics, Geography and Geology/Mathematics (Pure & Applied).
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)
- (i) ABSU and MAIDUGURI accept ND Agriculture into 100 level programme. (200 Level for EUI).
- (ii) LAPAI and ILORIN require ‘A’ Level passes in both Chemistry and Biology.
- (iii) MAIDUGURI, IBADAN and AAU accept NCE merit in Agriculture double major.
- (iv) IMSU – accepts ND/NCE Double Major or HND in Agriculture or related disciplines with at least a merit pass into 200 level and HND (Upper Credit) into 300 level.
- (v) UDU and ABU accept ND distinction, HND credit, NCE double major at credit level in Agriculture. UDU accepts ND Upper credit and HND lower credit.
- (vi) IBADAN and UMUDIKE accept ND or HND in the related fields. IBADAN Agricultural candidates must apply to read Agriculture until 500 level when options will be available.
- (vii) AAU accepts Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture at ‘A’ Level and ND upper credit in Agricultural Science and HND Agriculture not below credit pass. Also accepts ND/NCE credit in Agricultural Science with at least a pass in Physics at the ‘O’ Level.
- (viii) EBSU and UMUDIKE accept ND distinction/credit, HND credit into 200 level while those with ND lower credit NCE Double Major at credit/merit level in Agriculture are admitted into 100 level.
- (ix) UMUDIKE requires ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science.
- (x) ILORIN accepts ND/NCE credit pass in Agriculture into 200 level while those with HND may be admitted into 300 level. Also accepts NCE merit in Biology, Chemistry or Agriculture, and ND merit in Banking/Finance, Business Management plus UTME requirements
- (xi) LAPAI accept ND upper credit in Agriculture plus five (5) relevant credit passes at SSC.
- (xii) BIU accepts ND/NCE distinction or credit into 200 level.
- (xiii) EKSU requires a minimum of credit pass in Physics and accepts ND upper credit in Agriculture related programs, Forestry Assistant Certificate from IITA, Ibadan or any other relevant Higher Institution.
- (xiv) KUST accepts NCE merit and ND in Chemistry/Biology upper credit/any relevant qualification.
- (xv) KSUSTA accepts Two (2) A level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science, Economics, Physics, Geography and Geology/Mathematics (Pure & Applied).
- (xvi) BOWEN accepts NCE/ND or approved equivalent in relevant programs, IJMB at acceptable passes. For Food Science and Technology, at least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics is required.
- (xvii) BIU requires in addition to the ‘O’ Level requirements specified in the table, a minimum of two (2) relevant subjects passed at GCE ‘A’ Level or NCE merits or ND in relevant programs not below credit level.
- (xviii) ABU accepts (i) two (2) ‘A’ level / IJMB Passes in Chemistry and any of Biology, Botany, Zoology and Agricultural Science. ii) HND in Agriculture or related field of study with a minimum of Lower credit pass. iii) ND in Agriculture or related field of study with a minimum of Lower Credit
- (xix) (xx) FED OYE-EKITI accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science, Economics, Physics, Geography. For Animal Production and Health, the options include Geology
- (xxi) ABUAD requires ‘A’ Level passes or its equivalent qualifications as approved by the Senate in at least two (2) subjects to include Biology and any of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- (xxii) FED-DUTSINMA requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Zoology/Physics.
- (xxiii) DELSU requires a) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects or b) ND with a minimum of upper credit plus five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/NECO O’ Level to be admitted into 200 level. c) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and any of Biology, Agricultural Science, Physics and Economics. d) NCE with merit pass in Agricultural Science.
- (xxiv) FED-GASHUA requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agric. It also accepts OND/ND (Upper Credit), HND (Lower credit) and NCE Merit and above into 200 Level. Gashua gives consideration to candidates with pass in physics with credit pass in Geography/Economics at ‘O’ Level.
- (xxv) PHC accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or JUPEB or IJMB passes in Agricultural Science and any one from Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Economics including UTME entry requirements. OND (Upper Credit) in Agriculture from a recognized Institution including UTME entry requirements. HND with at least a (Lower Credit) from a recognised institution, including UTME entry requirements for a 3-year degree programme. Diploma in Agriculture from a recognised institution with minimum of Credit Pass, including UTME entry requirements.
- (xxvi) RSU in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts: (a) HND (Lower Credit) in related discipline. (b) OND (ND) (Upper Credit) in related disciplines. (c) NCE holders with credit passes in Biology or Agric Science may be admitted into Second Year. (d) Two (2) HSC/GCE ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology.
- (xxvii) FED-DUTSE requires any of the following: (a) two ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agric Science, Economics, Physics, Geography and Geology/Mathematics (Pure & Applied). (b) ND in Crop Production, Agronomy, Agric Extension, Farm Management, with Merit. (c) NCE with Merit in Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science Double Major.
- (xxvii) FUTO requires; a) At least two (2) A’ level passes not below Grade C in Chemistry and any one of Zoology, Botany, Agricultural Science, Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Economics. b) OND/HND at Upper Credit in Life Sciences. c) First Degree in Life Sciences. d) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects namely Chemistry and any two (2) of Biology/ Agricultural Science, Mathematics and Physics. It does not accept NCE. Candidates must in addition meet the ‘O’ Level requirements.
- (xxviii) BAYERO requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology or Agriculture, ND, NCE Agriculture (double major), NCE with Chemistry and Biology or Agriculture.
- (xxix) FED-WUKARI – Direct Entry candidates must obtain Two A/L passes at GCE, IJMB, or Advanced NABTEB Which must include Chemistry Or obtain at least a Merit at NCE Or Lower credit in OND/ HND from approved Institution. Such candidate must also satisfy the O/L requirement for admission.
- (xxx) KASU accepts Two ‘A’ Level passes including Chemistry and one of Biology, Botany, Zoology Agric Science, Physics, Geography Geology, Mathematics, Health Science and Economics. ND/HND Lower credit in related field. NCE merit and IJMB.7 points and above in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements.
- (xxxi) FED- KASHERE: A candidate Must have ND with a minimum of lower credit, NCE or IJMB with at least 9 Points in relevant areas.
- (xxxii) LANDMARK accepts Two (2) A level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science, Economics, Physics, Geography and Geology/Mathematics (Pure & Applied).
