The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has appointed the Emir of Lafia, Sidi Muhammad as the 4th Chancellor-designate of the Rivers State University.
This was disclosed by the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Nlerum Okogbule on Monday during the university’s pre-convocation briefing.
The installation of the Chancellor is billed for Tuesday, December 15, 2020, during the 32nd convocation and 40th-anniversary ceremonies of the institution.
Prof. Okogbule noted that over 5,000 graduands would be graduating with their respective degrees. According to him, 34 students will be graduating with First Class, 684 students with Second Class Upper, while 2,034 students would be graduating with Second Class Lower Division.
