Sport University Resumption Date 2025 has been announced.
The Sports University of Nigeria, Idumuje-Ugboko, Delta State, wishes to inform our esteemed students, parents, guardians, and the general public that the University Senate has approved a shift in the resumption date for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
🔹 New Resumption Date: Monday, 13th October 2025 (All students are expected on campus)
🔹 Commencement of Academic Activities: Tuesday, 14th October 2025
This adjustment has been made to better position our students and academic community for a smooth take-off into the new session. All are kindly advised to take note of these new dates and make the necessary preparations.
At the Sports University of Nigeria, our commitment remains firm: to provide a unique learning environment where academic excellence meets world-class sports development. We look forward to welcoming our students back to campus for another season of growth, learning, and achievement.
Be informed that the Management of the University has made the necessary preparations for your stay, your academics, and sports in the University. As you therefore prepare for your resumption, kindly note the following:
- Travel Arrangements: Leave home early enough to be able to get to the University before 5pm. Please avoid night or late travel, as Nigerian roads are unpredictable these days.
- Preparation for Resumption: Ensure you bring all the necessary items for your comfort and for your academic life. Please take your time within these few days left to put things together for the resumption.
- Security Checks: There will be security checks of the items the students came with to ensure that prohibited items are not brought into the University. Such prohibited items found during security check will be confiscated by the University.
- Payment of Fees: Most importantly, please ensure you pay all the necessary fees prescribed by the University before resumption date. There is also provision to pay in the University on resumption day. Note that there will be a clearance exercise in the University where you are to present evidence of payment of fees, on which a clearance card will be issued to you for a bed space in the University hostel.
Finally, welcome to the new academic year! We’re thrilled to see you here. To our new students, we’re excited to have you join our community. And to our returning students, we’re glad you’re back! We’re looking forward to a fantastic year of learning, growth, and adventure together. Let’s make it an amazing one!
