Taraba State University, TSU has received Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria MLSCN Approval for Medical Laboratory Science Programme.

I am pleased to announce that the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) programme in the Faculty of Health Sciences has officially received approval from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria. This approval follows the resource verification exercise conducted in early July 2024.
With this approval, our MLS programme will now benefit from the Council’s full support, enabling our students to sit for professional examinations and obtain the necessary licensing. This height allows our students to graduate from the department and proceed to their mandatory internship, paving the way for their careers in the medical laboratory field.
This achievement would not have been possible without the sincere commitment and support of our Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, and his dedicated management team. Their leadership has been instrumental in guiding us to this success.
We also wish to express our deepest gratitude to all the staff members of the department and the Faculty of Health Sciences, as well as the entire University community, including other staff members and students, whose collective efforts and contributions have played a critical role in achieving this milestone.
Let us continue to work together as we strive for further excellence in all our programmes.
Thank you.
Signed:
Dr. Rimamde U. Joel
Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences
