Students of the University of Abuja will soon have a new lease of life as the Management of the University has started the process that will lead to the construction of 25,000 hostel bed spaces on the Main Campus.

The arrangement which is under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) commenced with the opening of the applications received in response to the advertisement for Expression of Interest (EOI) by the University last year.
The opening of a total of twenty (20) applications received from prospective investors was witnessed by three Non-Governmental Organisations, namely: CornerStone Liberty & Love Foundation (CLF), Advocacy for Transparency Network and Initiative in Civil Transparency.
The process was also witnessed by representatives of Infrastructure Concessions Regulatory Commission (ICRC).
In the next couple of days, the University Tenders Board will commence the assessment exercise to determine the candidates who best fit the specification of the University.
