UNILAG Senate Elects Professor Muyiwa Falaiye as DVC, Management Services


The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Senate has elected Professor Muyiwa Falaiye as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Management Services of the University.
A former Dean of the Faculty of Arts, UNILAG, Prof. Falaiye is the current Director, Institute of African and Diaspora Studies, UNILAG (IADS-UNILAG), and Chairman of UNILAG Housing Committee.
He was elected via an electronic voting process with 210 out of 252 (83%) votes at the Statutory Meeting of Senate held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
His appointment, when ratified by the University Governing Council, is for a period of two (2) years.
Prof Muyiwa Falaiye, FNAL, is a Professor of African Philosophy/Studies. His research interests include African Studies, Political Philosophy, Philosophical Sagacity and Philosophy of Development.
