The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Offa (UNIOFFA), Kwara State, Professor Kazeem Alagbe Gbolagade has approved the appointment of Dr. Sa’adat Abdulkadir as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Education.


Dr. Sa’adat Abdulkadir obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Science Education (Biology) from the University of Ilorin in 2021, having earlier earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Science Education (Biology) from the same institution in 2011.
She also holds a Bachelor of Science (Education) in Biology from the University of Ado-Ekiti, obtained in 2001, and a National Certificate in Education (NCE) from the Kwara State College of Education in 1992.
Additionally, she holds a Certificate in Data Processing and Management/Information System from the University of Ilorin.
Dr. Abdulkadir is an accomplished scholar in Science Education (Biology) with extensive experience in teaching, educational administration, and research.
Her appointment is part of the University’s commitment to strengthening academic leadership and advancing the quality of teacher education and research within the institution.
Before joining the University of Offa, Dr. Abdulkadir built an impressive career in education and academic service.
She served as Deputy Director at the Quality Assurance Bureau of the Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, a role she held between 2009 and 2022.
She has also served in various academic capacities across several higher institutions. These include Lecturer II at Ahman Pategi University, Kwara State (2023–2024), Part-time Lecturer at the University of Ilorin and Kwara State University, Malete, and Part-time Lecturer at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.
In addition, she is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Nigerian Army College of Education, in affiliation with Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
At the University of Offa, Dr. Abdulkadir has served as Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences prior to her appointment as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Education.
She has supervised countless research projects and contributed significantly to teaching and mentorship in the field of Biology Education.
Dr. Abdulkadir is also an active researcher with several publications focusing on science education, study technology, and the integration of artificial intelligence in secondary school education.
Her scholarly works have been presented at conferences and workshops organised by professional bodies including the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN).
She holds membership in several professional and academic organisations, including the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), and the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT).
She is also actively involved in community and professional development initiatives and currently serves as the Public Relations Officer of the Federation of Muslim Women Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Kwara State Chapter.
The University Management expressed confidence that Dr. Abdulkadir’s wealth of experience in teaching, research, educational quality assurance, and academic leadership will contribute significantly to the development and advancement of the Faculty of Education at the University of Offa.
