The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has appointed Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Prof. Kevin Urama, and Prof. James Robinson as visiting professors to boost its global academic standing and provide students with access to leading voices in their fields.


The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has appointed renowned writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie as a visiting professor, alongside African Development Bank (AfDB) Executive Prof. Kevin Urama and University of Chicago Professor James Robinson. This move aims to boost UNN’s global academic standing and provide students with access to leading voices in their fields.
Adichie, a celebrated literary voice, will enrich the arts and humanities through lectures, mentorship, and scholarly engagements. Prof. Urama brings expertise in development economics and climate policy, while Prof. Robinson’s work on institutions and governance will enhance political economy and development studies.
The appointments align with UNN’s vision to become a globally competitive institution, and the visiting professors will contribute to teaching, research, and mentorship.
