The management of West Midlands Open University Lagos (WMOU) wishes to alert the general public, prospective students, parents, and guardians to exercise caution in all dealings concerning the University. Kindly note the following Important points:
- Official Payments: The University will never request that you make payments into any personal bank account. All approved payments are made only through the University’s official online payment portal.
- Online Security: WMOU will never ask for your password or instruct you to “click a link for email address or identity verification”, even if such messages appear credible. These are phishing attempts and should be ignored.
- Fraud Prevention: We strongly advise all potential students, parents, and the general public to remain vigilant against theft, scams, and other fraudulent activities. Always verify any suspicious communication directly with the University before taking action.
