Ominini Felix, a 19-year-old Nigerian lady, graduated with a First-Class Bachelor of Laws degree from Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) with a 4.79 CGPA, winning the Aare Afe Babalola Founder’s Award for Academic Excellence.


Ominini Felix, a brilliant Nigerian lady, has made her mark in the academic world by graduating with a First-Class Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Afe Babalola University (ABUAD), Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, with an impressive 4.79 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) out of 5.0.
Ominini’s exceptional academic performance earned her the prestigious Aare Afe Babalola Founder’s Award for Academic Excellence, which she won five consecutive times, placing her among the top-performing law graduates of her set.
Ominini’s journey to academic excellence began in 2021 when she gained admission into ABUAD at just 15 years old. She demonstrated academic discipline and consistency, finishing her 100-level first semester with a 4.5 GPA. Her resilience and determination paid off when she graduated at just 19 years old, ranking in the top 10 out of 252 law students.
Beyond academics, Ominini distinguished herself through leadership, research, and professional development. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the ABUAD Law Review, Director of Law, ABUAD Green Club, and an active member of several student and professional organisations.
Ominini also earned professional certification as an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) and published her first independent research article on Artificial Intelligence and Copyright Law in the Lawrit Journal of Law.
