UNILAG Security Alert to All Staff and Students 2023

University Of Lagos, Security Alert to the University Community.

Officers of the Security Unit, University of Lagos (UNILAG), in the course of discharging their duties, have apprehended some persons of questionable character at different locations on campus.

These individuals who were caught, at different times, in the acts of stealing and vehicle vandalization have been handed over to the Police for further investigation and prosecution. Details are as follows:

• Akpan Issac Uyuobong: Apprehended on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Photographer’s Village, Faculty of Education for stealing two Tecno Phones.
• Shittu Abiodun Teslim: Apprehended on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Guaranty Trust Bank Car Park for serial car vandalization.
• Oluwaseun Oluwadamilola : Apprehended on Friday, September 29, 2023 for car vandalisation and stealing at the Faculty of Engineering.
• Yahaya Jubril: Apprehended on Friday, September 29, 2023 for car vandalization and stealing at the Faculty of Engineering.

All members of the University community (staff, students, and friends of the University) are enjoined to be security-conscious and not hesitate to report anything or anyone suspicious to the Security Unit via [email protected] and [email protected].
