"2024 UTME will be very Smooth," JAMB Promises, Reveal Other Things

JAMB reveals that the 2024 exam will be stress-free and very smooth.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be smooth and seamless.

This was disclosed by the board’s Public Communication Advisor (PCA), Fabian Benjamin, during a LIVE Twitter session and made available on the board’s weekly bulletin.

Explaining how they have made the 2024 registration seamless, Dr. Febian said the board made sure the JAMB Form remains very affordable.

“…various steps the Board (has) taken to make the process seamless for candidates (are) cost reduction through sustaining its signature three thousand, five hundred naira (₦3,500) registration fee; the supply of its reading text “The Life Changer” free of charge as against the previous fee of five hundred naira (₦500); the slashing of centre fee charged by accredited CBT centres from three thousand naira (₦3,000) to one thousand, five hundred naira (₦1,500); among others.“

Dr. Febian also used the opportunity to warn candidates that there is nothing like JAMB RUNS or EXPO, adding that their portals are foolproof.

“candidates (should) concentrate on their studies rather than patronising unscrupulous tutorial centres, who are out to swindle them through fake promises of live questions, score upgrade, underhand admissions, and so on.“

Benjamin used the platform to reveal that candidates with mistakes on their NIN should make sure that they correct it on the NIMC before registering.

According to JAMB, candidates will not be allowed to change some of their theirs after registration.

“…candidates should endeavour to effect all necessary changes on their biodata through the National Identification Management Commission (NIMC) platform before registering for the Board’s examination as their details are pulled directly from the Commission’s database, hence, any uncorrected mistakes, especially with regard to e-mail address, phone number, date of birth, state of origin, local government and many more, cannot be changed on the JAMB portal once registered,” Febain advised.

To all JAMB candidates, be assured that you’ll have a smooth registration and exam. JAMB Runs and Score upgrade is FAKE, don’t fall for it. Finally, if you have a mistake on your NIN, make sure you correct it before registering for the JAMB exam.

E-mail address, phone number, date of birth, state of origin, local government, etc can’t be corrected after JAMB registration.

However, JAMB Subjects, school of choice, and course of choice can be corrected after registration.

Buying of JAMB Form ends: 26th February, 2024.
Sale of 2024 Direct Entry (DE) form: Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
Closing date for the 2024 DE form: Thursday, March 28, 2024.
JAMB Mock Examination Date: 7th March, 2024.
Printing of 2024 JAMB Exam Slips to know your exam venue, date and time: 10th April, 2024.
JAMB Main Examination Date: Friday 19th April to Monday 29th April, 2024.
