Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK issues disclaimer notice to the general public


The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyachie, has issued a public warning regarding a fraudulent Facebook account impersonating him.
In a press release dated 5th January, 2026, the University’s Information & Public Relations Office disclosed that a fake account under the name “Bond Anyachie” has been created, using the Vice-Chancellor’s images to mislead the public. The account is accessible via the link: https://www.facebook.com/share/19NMgmx7vB/.
The University has strongly emphasized that this account is NOT AUTHENTIC and does not represent Professor Anyachie. The public is advised to disregard any communication or content from this fraudulent profile.

To help remove the impersonating account, the University is urging the public and the online community to report the fake profile directly to Facebook. A step-by-step guide was provided:
- Visit the fraudulent profile link: https://www.facebook.com/share/17rS3TXXdN/
- Tap the “Options” (three dots) below the cover photo.
- Select “Report profile.”
- Click on “Something about this profile.”
- Choose either “Scam, fraud or false information” or “Fake profile.” If selecting “Fake profile,” identify it as a “Public figure” and enter the official profile link or the name “Bond Anyachie” when prompted.
- Submit the report.
The University appreciates public support in this effort to combat online fraud and maintain a safer digital environment.
