Eleven students of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences of Lagos State University, have excelled in the Mobile Classroom App Nationwide Objectives Virtual Test for tertiary education students, held recently.


The eleven (11) students were among the Top 20 performers nationwide in the Business Administration category, a feat which earned them generous financial rewards from the organisers – Mobile Classroom Limited.
While presenting the winners to the University Management on Friday, 18th October 2024, the Founder, Mobile Classroom App, Mr Akeem Salami, said of the four categories of the competition- Political Science, Mass Communication, Business Administration and Social Sciences- LASU students took part in the Business Administration category and came tops. The overall winner in each category got a handsome reward of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N150,000) only, while others in the top twenty (20) got Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000) only.
The students who did LASU proud were Rufus Oluwole (1st), Oshinuga Ayomide (3rd), Sodiq Habeeb (4th), Obeng David (5th), Majekodunmi Feranmi (6th), Temitope Esther (7th), Abdulrokeeb Ojo (8th), Babalola Lawal (9th), Ayat Aliu (13th), Abdul-Qudus Ibrahim (14th), Hunkokoe Sewanu (15th), Emmanuel Ajose (16th).
A lecturer in the Department of Business Administration who served as facilitator for the virtual training that preceeded the examination and was instrumental in mobilising the participation of LASU students, Dr Ayomide Elegunde was also awarded the sum of One Hundred and Eighty Thousand Naira (N180,000) only, as an Outstanding Lecturer Support Fund.
While commenting on the feat, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Olufunsho Omobitan expressed her delight at the credible representation by the students and their lecturer, noting that the feat was demonstrative of the greatest of the university.
She also called on the sponsor to expand the programme to accommodate more students candidates in the future.
Other members of management and deans of faculties as well as media correspondences also attended the handover ceremony.
