The Federal University of Lafia (FUL), through its College of Postgraduate Studies (CPGS), has announced the schedule for the Orientation and Matriculation ceremonies for newly admitted postgraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to an internal memo issued by the College Secretary, Mrs. Aisha Lawal, the Orientation Programme will hold on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, while the Matriculation Ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, 22 January 2026. Both events will commence promptly at 9:00 a.m.

The venue for the physical ceremonies is the Mallam Adamu Adamu Twin Lecture Hall, Federal University of Lafia. However, students enrolled in online programmes are expected to participate virtually in both events.

The College further advised all newly admitted postgraduate students to complete their registration before the matriculation day, as this is a mandatory requirement for participation.

After the Matriculation Ceremony students should submit their signed Matriculation Oath forms at the College with evidence of payment of community service levy to complete the registration process. Regulations Governing Postgraduate Programmes and Guidelines for Project, Dissertation and Thesis writing are downloadable on the website: https://www.cpgs.fulafia.edu.ng.

The memo concluded by urging members of the university community to take note of the dates and support the smooth conduct of the ceremonies

Signed:
Secretary, CPGS.
