The management of University of Maiduguri, UNIMAID has Condemned Vandalism and Theft in Hostels and Urged Students to Protect Campus Property.

The management is deeply concerned about the recent incidents of vandalism and theft of university property in the hostels.
These acts are unacceptable and undermine the well-being of our community.
We urge all students to recognize that university property is, in essence your property.
It is imperative that you take pride in and protect it for the benefit of everyone.
We request that all students remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to appropriate authorities.
Let’s all work together to maintain a safe and secure environment.
If these incidents continue, we may be forced to take drastic measures to safeguard university assets, including closing the hostels and asking all students to vacate the hostels, since the school is on inter-semester break.
Meanwhile, all those already found indulging in the vandalism and theft of university property will be dealt with decisively.
Let’s join hands in preserving our university’s property and upholding our values of respect and responsibility.
Sincerely,
Dr Mohammed Yahaya
Ag Dean of Students
