Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Navy Captain (Prof.) Isah Rambo Saidu as its new Deputy Vice Chancellor, effective February 9, 2026.


Professor Saidu, a distinguished expert in Cyber Security, succeeds Rear Admiral MM Abdullahi, who retired from the position on January 31, 2026.
Upon his arrival at Asaba International Airport, Captain Saidu was received by a university delegation led by the Registrar, Cdr. Isaac M. Mankilik (Rtd).
Following his arrival on campus, he met with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Bankole Ndubuisi Ogbogbo, and members of the senior management team.
A formal welcome ceremony was held in his honor on February 11, 2026, at the Vice Chancellor’s Office.
Distinguished Academic and Military Profile:
Navy Captain Saidu brings a wealth of experience spanning both military command and high-level academia. A PhD holder in Computer Science, his career highlights include:
Command Roles: Commanding Officer of the Nigerian Navy Simulation Center and Duty Officer at Headquarters Eastern Naval Command.
Instructional Leadership: Officer in Charge of the Computer Laboratory at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC).
Education: Alumnus of the Nigerian Defence Academy, AFCSC, and the University of Abuja.
Professional Affiliations:
He is a recognized member of several prestigious organizations, including:
Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN)
Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM)
International Association of Engineers and Computer Scientists.
His appointment is expected to significantly bolster the university’s administrative framework and its growing reputation as a leader in cyber security and defense-related education.
