Troops rescue 13 Zamfara Varsity Students From Kidnappers

Cursory: The Joint Task Force in Zamfara State has rescued seven more female students from Federal University Gusau, bringing the total rescued to 13. President Tinubu ordered their rescue, emphasizing the need to protect education seekers. Three male workers were also freed alongside the students.

The Joint Task Force (JTF) of Operation Hadarin Daji in Zamfara State has once again successfully rescued an additional seven female students from the Federal University of Gusau (FUGUS), bringing the total number of rescued students to 13.

Earlier, it was reported that a significant number of students had been abducted by bandits on the previous Friday. On the same day, Nigerian security agencies managed to rescue six of the kidnapped students.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu subsequently issued orders for security agencies to ensure the rescue of the remaining female students from the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State, who had recently been abducted by terrorists.

Tinubu emphasized that there is no moral justification for such heinous crimes against innocent victims who were simply pursuing quality education.

Regarding the release of the seven students, Zagazola Makama, an expert in counter-insurgency operations in the Lake Chad region, explained that these students were freed along with three male workers from Gupran Engineering Services Ltd.
