Abia State University (ABSU) Resumption Date for the 2025/2026 Session has been announced.

Senate of Abia State University, at its 284th Regular Meeting held on Tuesday, 18th November, 2025, approved resumption of Students for the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, 1st December, 2025.

New and Returning Students are to note as follows:

  • Monday, 1st December, 2025
    Arrival of New Students / Registration
  • Saturday, 6th December, 2025
    Return of Old Students / Registration
  • Monday, 8th December, 2025
    Commencement of First Semester Lectures
  • Friday, 12th December, 2025
    Orientation for New Students
  • Friday, 19th December, 2025
    2025 Christmas Break
  • Monday, 12th January, 2026
    Commencement of Lectures after the Christmas Break

Accordingly, all New and Returning Students are to pay their fees and complete their registration formalities, as appropriate, as only bona fide Students who have paid their fees and registered their courses will be allowed access to facilities in the University.

Students, their parents and guardians are to note, for strict compliance.
