AKSU announces approved Convocation Fees for Combined 6th–12th Ceremonies.


Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has released details of the approved convocation fees for graduands participating in the institution’s combined 6th to 12th Convocation Ceremonies.
In an official notice issued by the Office of the Registrar and dated February 6, 2026, the university informed all graduands that the fees apply to those taking part in the forthcoming convocation scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026.
According to the statement, the approved fees are as follows:
Postgraduate Programmes
This category covers:
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Master’s Degrees (M.Sc, M.A, M.Ed, M.Eng, etc.)
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)
Fees:
- With Academic Gown: ₦150,000
- Without Academic Gown: ₦85,000
Undergraduate Programmes
Convocation Fee: ₦45,000
The university noted that graduands who had previously paid ₦15,000 as convocation fees are required to pay only the balance of the newly approved rate applicable to their category.
AKSU further stated that evidence of payment will be mandatory for clearance and issuance of convocation materials.
Details concerning payment procedures, deadlines, and collection of academic gowns will be communicated in due course. All graduands have been advised to comply accordingly.
