Corps Members have been advised to live within their means, avoid flamboyant lifestyles and cultivate the habit of savings.

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, gave this advise while addressing Corps Members at the NYSC Kaduna State Temporary Orientation Camp in Kurmi-Mashi, Kaduna.
General Nafiu also implored the Corps Members to acquire a new skill through the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, adding that this would make them self-employed and at the same time, create jobs for others.
He said the Scheme has partnered many stakeholders that were ready to assist them with low interest loans, business grants and starter parks.
“Don’t waste your time because time is precious. Do something with your time. Be diligent during your post-camp SAED training”, General Nafiu said.
He urged them to start small and gradually grow their business investments with time.
While presenting her camp situation report, the NYSC Kaduna State Coordinator, Mrs Efeke Murna Dadaza, informed the Director General that 2,896 Corps Members comprising 2,198 for Kaduna State, and 698 dislodged from the FCT were registered.
She added that they have all adjusted to the regimented camp environment and have been actively participating in all camp activities.
