Bells University of Technology, Ota Secures NUC Accreditation for 13 Programmes

The National Universities Commission has re-accredited thirteen matured Programmes at Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State.

In accordance with Section 10 (1) of the Education (National Minimum Standard and Establishment of Institution) Act CAP E3 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, the National Universities Commission (NUC) conducted the Re-Accreditation exercise for thirteen (13) Matured Programmes in Bells University of Technology, Ota between October and November, 2023.

After rigorous inspection exercises by various accreditation Teams from the NUC, all 13 matured Programmes presented by the University received Full Accreditation status with Excellent Scores. This was communicated to the University via a Letter from the Office of the Executive Secretary, which also was stated that the Full Accreditation status means that the Programmes will run for 5 years, after which another round of re-accreditation visits will take place.

Periodic Re-Accreditation Exercises, by the NUC, are measures to ensure strict compliance to Minimum Academic Standards by all Degree Awarding Institutions in Nigeria.

By this, the following Programmes in Bells University of Technology, Ota are fully re-accredited for the next 5 years:

  1. Accounting
  2. Banking and Finance
  3. Biomedical Engineering
  4. Building Technology
  5. Business Administration
  6. Computer Engineering
  7. Electrical & Electronic Engineering
  8. Economics
  9. Estate Management
  10. Management Technology
  11. Mechatronics Engineering
  12. Nutrition and Dietetics
  13. Telecommunications Engineering
  14. Urban and Regional Planning

In his comment, the Vice-Chancellor stated that this successful exercise, and previous ones, are results of the relentless drive of the University Management in the provision of disciplined, top-notch service delivery, cutting-edge instructional facilities and blazing the trail in the education sub-sector landscape of Nigeria.

He also commended the Faculties and non-teaching staff and for the success attained while congratulating the students and Parents, who he called Partners-in-Progress with the University Management.
