BUK Notice to Prospective Corps Members Regarding NYSC Registration.

The Deanery of Student Affairs, Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has officially announced the commencement of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) registration for all prospective corps members.
According to an official notice released on Thursday, March 12, 2026, the NYSC registration portal has been opened, and all eligible graduating students are advised to proceed immediately with their registration through the official NYSC portal.
The notice, signed by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Mukhtar Ridwanu Bunza, also addressed concerns raised by some students regarding discrepancies observed between the graduation dates on the university’s internal pre-mobilization list displayed at the Students’ Affairs Division and the dates reflected on the NYSC portal.
Students affected by this issue have been advised not to panic but to continue with their registration process. The university management has already contacted NYSC authorities concerning the matter and has received assurances that the discrepancies will be corrected even after the registration exercise.
The Dean emphasized that no eligible student will be mobilized for the NYSC programme without completing the required registration process and reassured students that the graduation date discrepancies will be properly resolved.
The university therefore urged all prospective corps members to take advantage of the registration window and complete their registration promptly.
