How to Calculate LAUTECH Aggregate Score [UPDATED]

This page will show you how to calculate Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Screening (or aggregate) score/point.

We are pleased to show you the steps to calculate the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Aggregate score. Note that this is the same procedure you should follow in other to calculate the LAUTECH screening point.

LAUTECH aggregate score is based on JAMB Point (75%) and O’level point (25%).

How to Calculate LAUTECH Aggregate Score

  • Step 1: Get your O’level Point: Say your O’level screening point is 23.3
  • Step 2: Get your JAMB point: Say your JAMB UTME score is 260. Then your jamb point is (280/400) * 75 = 52.5%
  • Step 3: Calculate aggregate score: Now add your O’level and jamb point to get your aggregate score. For our example, our aggregate score is 82.5%.

PRACTICAL EXAMPLE:

From the above, you need to know how to calculate both the JAMB and O’level Points before you can get your aggregate score.

How to Calculate JAMB Point for LAUTECH

This is simple, just divide your JAMB score by 400 and multiply the result by 75.

Say you had 280 in JAMB, from the above, your new JAMB point will now be [(280/400) * 75] = 52.5.

How to Calculate O’level Point for LAUTECH

First, let’s calculate the total O’level score.

To do that, add the individual scores for your five compulsory subjects.

These are the scores for each grade:

  • A1 =6
  • B2 =5
  • B3 =4
  • C4 =3
  • C5 =2
  • C6 =1

So if you got 4 A1 and 1 B3 in your COMPULSORY o’level subjects, your total O’level score will be 28.

Now let’s calculate the O’level point!

To do that, divide your total o’level score by 30 and multiply the result by 25.

PRACTICAL: Based on our O’level total score of 28, our O’level point will be (28/30) * 25 = 23.3.

Our final aggregate score will now be JAMB Point 52.5 + 23.3 = 75.8%

The school will release its departmental cut-off mark. What you will see there is a minimum aggregate score required for a course.
