Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has received an additional ₦91,806,278 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to support the payment of 2024/2025 school fees for 516 students.

This second batch of funding follows an initial disbursement of ₦40,712,720, further easing the financial burden on COOU students.
For many students, this initiative represents more than just financial aid—it is a beacon of hope. Over 516 COOU students will benefit from this second disbursement, easing the burden of tuition fees and allowing them to focus on their academic pursuits without financial distress.
Notably, NELFUND has disbursed a total of ₦132,518,998 so far, excluding the students’ upkeep allowances.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity by registering through Portal.nelf.gov.ng to avoid missing the school fees deadline. The university remains committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to quality education.
For further inquiries, students can contact Dr. Chisom Okafor-Maduka, COOU NELFUND Desk Officer, at 08065708268.
